Italian Night with my love

So Pat and I are pretty good at trying to keep things interesting, not falling into ruts of things to do.  This is primarily due to the fact that we are travelling nearly every weekend.  But since we got the cats, we've been pretty good about not going all over the place.

So instead of choosing from one of the regular options (make dinner, go out to eat, watch a move, go see a movie, have some drinks at home, go out and have some drinks), we decided to be creative and have Italian night.  We made everything from scratch:

our ingredients.  and pretty mums.  and rising bread.

homemade noodles are difficult to separate

but taste so good

the sauce took 3 hours but was totally worth it

Then we finished our evening with 3 episodes of Mad Men and cuddling.  It was pretty much the best night of my life. 

Jenny:  Isn't this so good?

Pat:  Its great

Jenny:  Do you think its worth the extra effort?

Pat:  Maybe once a year.

We definitely have different priorities sometimes :)

Pause

Its never intentional to neglect a project for an entire month, but it happens without even noticing.  So I'll call it a pause. 

Big changes lately.  The kittens change life considerably more than I thought they would.  Mostly in a very good way.  Pat quit his job and therefore is on the hunt for something new.  Something that may take me to Arizona, Columbus, DC, who knows.  I alternate between ridiculously excited and ridiculously terrified.  My mood swings resulted in strep throat, I'm certain. 

Even though I paused with the blog - I wasn't forgetting my Renovation.  I'll post soon - including photos of some awesome food.

Oh!  and I have a HUGE secret.
